Verstraete IML, USA – Batavia, Ohio

We’re looking for ambitious leaders to become part of our growing MCC Verstraete team at our location on Founders Boulevard in Batavia, Ohio! This new venture, Belgian-based, startup facility in the U.S. specializes in offset printing labels on polypropylene for injection molding, blow molding, and thermoforming.

Our Material Handlers are responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
§ Ensures correctly receiving, quality check, registration and stock incoming goods
§ Ensures a correct supply of raw materials to the printing presses to ensure a smooth production
§ Perform warehouse management based on Kanban system
§ Operate a PC
§ Operate a pallet transporter
§ Operate a fork truck
§ Check incoming goods
§ Quality control, registration and stock of the incoming goods
o Ensure the quality of the incoming goods is according to standard. In case of any damaged goods, communicate this to the Logistics Administration Officer.
o Upon receiving the incoming goods must be registered in the ERP system.
§ Open press rolls in the designated area and ensure all press rolls are fed into the rack correctly
§ Prepare pallets for shipping
o Wrap pallets with foil for protection
o Prioritize according to shipping list
o Load pallets into trucks
§ Use a mixer to mix the lacquer and supply it to the printing area, upon request.
§ Perform warehouse management based on Kanban system
o Perform stock management by using Kanban system
o Double check physical stock with ERP stock
§ Access to identifiable air freight. Background check due to “Known Consignor” requirements.
§ Assist in the daily maintenance of
o Equipment (printing, finishing, etc)
o Building
§ Contribute to the general order and tidiness applying the requirements for ISO9001, ISO14001 and FDA taking into account the safety,health, environmental and hygiene requirements.


  • Previous warehouse experience required
  • Work SAFELY- Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
  • Be DEPENDABLE- regular and predictable attendance and work overtime when required
  • Be a TEAM PLAYER- ability to assist others with machine set‐up, run, and clean up
  • Be CARING- respect others and communicate openly
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship required
  • Strong proficiency in the use of computer systems
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency for on‐time completion of assigned activities

This position is a 2nd shift position (Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm).
